It is a mystery when and where Valentine’s Day originated.  If you look online there are dozens of posts with varying opinions.  Most historians agree it became a time for celebration of romance and love around the 14th or 15th centuries.  Today it is treated as a global holiday as flowers, candy, fancy dinners, vacations and jewelry abound.

The beautiful red pitcher vase has a crystal handle and delicate red glass although it is on the heavier side to lift due to the extra glass built into the bottom of the vase.  It is about 40 years old and in great condition.  Lovely with flowers in it or just on display in a cabinet.
