Our shopping sprees at various antique and thrift stores have been fun and interesting the last few weeks. We love finding unusual vintage items and most of the time, they go in one of our booths. But sometimes they find a home in our home. Take a look!
Cookie jars have always been popular and the more unique or rare they are, the quicker they attract attention. We found this Wells Fargo stage cookie jar at a yard sale…perfect condition and dating back to the 1950s. We added the Victorian house to the cookie jar row in our booth, as well. It is also in perfect shape.
This three-tier wooden stand is etched with floral around each tier and in good condition. It is a heavy wood product and great for candy or fruit.
Below it is another hand-carved wood item… a horse standing 19 ½ inches tall. It is standing on a wooden platform and retails at about $150.00.
Talk about an unusual vintage find! This is a 1940 large oriental carving of Asian fishermen in a jade boat. It is stunning and very rare.
Looking for a rather gothic or unusual wedding design? Add these dragon glasses to the bride and groom’s collection. They intertwine and form a heart shape. Quite different with blue glass and pewter stems.
Everyone loves vintage M & M items and this little cutie is no exception. It is a character in a batman mask, perfect size for a candy jar. We bought it at a thrift store, put it in our booth and it sold that very same day. Collectors love M & M products from long ago!
This cute little intricate perfume bottle stands about an inch tall and an inch wide. Dark blue cut glass with small flowers adorning it.
The Asian martial arts statue is very detailed right down to the determined expression on the man’s face. It is heavy and doesn’t leave out any details, very well-crafted.
If you have a booth in an antique or vintage store, be sure to keep it filled with unusual and unique items. Don’t under-estimate the interest an item can generate…there is something of interest for all collectors. Offer a wide variety of collectible vintage treasures.
